I miss Nick and kathleen but I'm stoked that we will be in Atlanta, at their house and rockin' SELF in a couple of weeks.

My schedule is now back to normal. I was up at 6:17, at work by 7:20 and out at 4:00. My day was pretty good. Do I dare say just a regular work day? If I have a compliant about this day it's the weather. After a weekend of Sunny and temperatures in the mid eighties, rainy weather and temperatures on in the fifties is a drag. My other issue is that my neck and back are feeling stiff and out. I still went to the gym today and I had a great leg and ab workout. Not only was the workout filled with power it really loosened up my back and neck. I have an appointment with my back cracker on Wednesday.

On another positive note I called Jerry my tattoo artist and we are a go for my pig tattoo. Jerry said that he drew it up and he's totally into doing it. Lets hope everything goes according to plan. This Saturday 1:30 I'll be in the chair.

Tonight we are going to watch the season finale of Reaper and Southland.

Last but not least I must talk about Prop 8. Prop 8 once again found its way on the California agenda., this time it was time for the California Supreme court to make their ruling on Prop 8's validity. In the morning barb emailed me and let me know that that the court ruled that prop 8 stands. No Gay marriage! That pissed me off but that didn't surprise me. Then barb told me that the 18,000 that were married can keep their marital status. What kind of justice is that? Since when is half and half justice the acceptable law of the land? I just assume they took away the rights of the previously married couples (not that I really want that) because the gay rights folks can put another bill together, a bill with better wording. Many people that voted for prop 8 have since changed their mind. If the vote was today Prop 8 may have not passed. Either way I'm still pissed at the prejudice against Gays and Lesbians. That always eats me alive.

Then barb came home and we talked some more. The way this ruling was made makes no sense. None what so ever. Half and half justice is not how law is interpreted and it certainly is not how laws are written or taught at the universities. When something is so odd we can't help but to try to dig deeper and find the root cause of the thought process. WHAT IF the court truly felt that Prop 8 was legally in effect. By that I mean no voter or organization tampering. A bill was voted on and passed, one side happy and one side not happy and according to the votes the people have spoken. But why would the California Supreme Court decided to leave the 18,000 people alone, why leave their nuptials in tact?

Doesn'tthat leave a HUGE loophole? Now a gay pair can sue. AH HA! A subvert plan? You let some people stay married but not us. You have a law that profiles. It almost sounds like a slam dunk to win this argument in court. If you win the argument in court then (in theory) Prop 8 would be no more.

Was the California Supreme court stupid or clever & sneaky? I don't know, I'm just sayin'.

As for me, for crappin out loud, people are people, sex is sex and love is love. To quote Lenny Kravitz, “Let Love Rule”. Let the gays and Lesbians marry. It's good for humanity, it's good for the soul, it's good for growth, it's good for business, it's just plain good, it's just plain right. The same arguments and prejudices were posed to blacks and women. From what I can tell, the earth is still truckin' along and nothing but good things happened since the extension of human rights to blacks and women. In short, human rights are a cool thing to have for everyone! Human rights rock, BOO YA TO THAT!

The word from street level in California is that we're mad and we're coming back. This fight is not over yet. The crowd at the Arcata rally (where I led the protesters around the plaza twice) was angry and defiant. Watch out now!
