Ladies and Gentleman please welcome in AUGUST (and the crowd goes wild).

Well today was one hell of a day. Please allow me to explain.

A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that there was a posting at work for a job that I believe I'm qualified for. The position would also be nicer hours and MORE MONEY. ( it's all about the money yeah, yeah). I thought about applying for the job and for reasons unknown to me though the ambiguity of the job left me with some reservations I decided to not apply. If nothing else I know I was very secure at where I'm at now. Today I got called into the Human Resources office, HR wanted to know if I was still interested in this job. I told them I really wasn't sure. I explained my reservations along with their vague description of the details of the job. They understood but as fate would have it my GOM ( the highest ranking official in the facility) wanted to talk to me about the job. I was also told in confidence that they interviewed three other people within the facility and all three interviews were less than stellar. Within ten minutes I was called in to see my GOM. We talked, we talked some more. We talked about money, responsibilities, he talked about my fire within', intelligence and he went on to say that he would be very excited if I would apply. Yes, I practically pooped my pants. Yes, I held it together. I told him that I would think about it. The great thing was that after talking to him he cleared up all the gray areas and the job seemed to become clear from both a regional and local perspective.

I thought about it and I decided that I'm going to apply for the job. So at 3:30 I went online and tossed my hat in the ring. I wrote a snazzy cover letter to attach to my posting. I'm now told that I may be interviewed as early as next week. Oh my, how should I comb my hair? So, this weekend slave barb needs to update my resume and I need to put together a presentation on how to structure safety for our facility. I know that no other applicants are going in with a fully prepared presentation and handouts. I'm treating this like running for a title. You want me? Well, here I am, cocked, loaded, informative and with take aways. I can't believe this is happening. OMG to the tenth power!

I think I'm ready. I got my share of anxiety and lots to do but I think I'm ready to roll.

Needless to say it was hard to focus on my work today. My day was ok but it felt pretty crazy and thoughts were racing all day. I was real glad to get out of there. It was an oddly stressful day.

After work I went to the gym and had a good shoulder and trap workout! I was thrilled that this gym week was over. Next week is a rest week and I'm looking forward to icing down sore parts of my body.

Ice ice baby.

When I got home slave barb made a great dinner and then I got to work on my presentation for the interview. I came up with lots of ideas pretty easily. I think I'm ready? Yeah, I am. I also pulled out my resume and went over that with slave barb. Slave barb is going to update the resume. This needs to be completed by Sunday night so I can email this to HR first thing Monday morning. AAAAAAHHHH!

I also emailed my boss to let him know that I was applying for this job.

Once that was done we headed to Asbury Park for the leather bar night. A night of leather is what I need after all that went down today. Of course, what did we talk about at the bar? We talked about this possible and lucrative job opportunity. The only difference is we did it with leather vests on.

I was feeling pretty drained so we left at around 11:30. When we got home I was feeling horny so we fucked out in the yard!
