Feeling the Apocalypse?

Is it me or is the world feeling very apocalyptic. The crunching of bones as the walls close in and push your weakened last breath out of you. Is our state of the world today our depressing swansong?

When you are driving around how many closed stores and gas stations do you see? Every time you drive by a gas station do you look at the price and cringe, budget and prepare for another gas hike?

It seems that every which way I / we turn it’s grim. The news is even filled with more doom and gloom. This is not to say that I don’t live a great life. But reality is certainly smacking all in the face every day.

Are we losing our collective minds? Multiple instances of people drinking their Tiki torch fluid and dying because they thought it was apple juice. Why are these two products even close to each other in the house?

Gas and oil prices are impacting everything in a negative way. Yes, including food.

Two  wars that we can’t really fund.
Vegetables tainted with Salmonella getting people sick

 Unemployment is high

The dollar isn’t stretching the way it once did
The US dollar has a low value in the world's financial market
Forclosures are continually on the rise

The stock markets are more like a roller coaster ride

 Fires in Arizona

 Fires in California

 Increased tornados in Oklahoma

 Floods in the mid west

The Great Lawn at the Whitehouse is chewed up and there’s not enough money to fix it

Concrete is sinking by the Washington Monument

You can now sail through portions of the polar ice cap

Yeah, global warming isn’t a dream.

New unrest in the Middle East. Yeah Israel threating war with Iran. That will build stability.

 Earthquakes in China

 Oppression in Zimbabwe

Starvation in other parts of Africa too.

Greed and Fuel seem to be the root cause of everything these days.

I can’t help to wonder if we are going the way of the Mad Max Movies from the eighties.
