Sunday June 1st

It's official, I can say happy pride month everyone.

There's a lot going on today, starting with the NJ Pride parade. Then there's the NJ Gay Pride fair / event which the parade leads right into. There's also the Joint MAsT meeting that I put together. Today my commitment is to the NJ Pride event. Yes, I'm very dedicated to MAsT but I'm also dedicated to my NJ commitments too. So to start the day I had slave paul wake me at the crap ass hour of 7:30. I was pretty much already up due to strange dreams. Once again slave paul did a great job of getting me up on time. So once again we got up, showered up, slave barb made breakfast and then we got ourselves ready. This time we had to get the Master slave flag, mount on the flag pole, put on sun screen, dig out the sun glasses, load the car and hit the paved trail. Of course everything was done perfectly and we were out the door on time and at Cruisin' on time too. We met up at the bar and then we went to the Municipal Center where the parade would be kicking off. Same old story with all parades, sit around and wait. Eh, I don't mind, we had a good time. At twelve noon sharp the parade kicked off. It's a short parade but it's quite meaningful and FUN. Slave barb got to carry the Master / slave flag and I was asked to carry a leather pride flag. I was very proud to have our Master slave flag seen in this parade. I didn't have the flag for last years parade. It felt wonderful to be able to march with the flag but it was also wonderful because we didn't just buy this flag. This flag was made for us and gifted to us for doing a good job as the NE Master / slave title holders. So it's safe to say that the flag has a lot of meaning to us. After the parade was over we went to the the fair which was pretty cool but I have a short attention span when it comes to those things. We hung around for a couple of hours and the went home. This all suits me well since there's plenty to do at home too.

When we got home I got word that the MAsT joint meeting was a great success. Forty four people attended. I can only hope that great conversation was had by all. The problem is that I have mixed feelings about this. I'm stoked that the MAsT event went off great but I'm still hurt and pissed at some of the other crap that went down prior to the event. Yes, I'm the Director of the chapter, yes, I think I have done a pretty good job over the last three and a half years, yes, I'm stepping down in December because I feel change is important for the group but right now I'm not sure if I'm going to continue as Director from July to December. I'm not sure if it's worth it and I'm tired of apologizing for things that I should not need to apologize for. I'm tired of apologizing to keep the peace. I'm tired of swallowing my pride. It sucks. I could go on but I'm not going to bore myself or you with these details.

When we got home slave barb made some lemonade, that was refreshing and then I got a hand job. That was even more refreshing then we did some more grillin'. Chicken anyone?

Tonight we need to work on the Diversity board project for work.. I would love to get that finished tonight. I'm pretty sure we will have our Sunday discussion too.

Thanks to your honesty and kick-ass blog, the master/slave flag has good meaning now for me too. My thanks to both you and slave barb for sharing and teaching.

    Happy New Jersey Pride!!!
