Christmas Eve! Let it rock. Myself and slave barb got up around nine but we didn't crawl out of bed until around nine thirty. We just hung out with the dogs and played with them. Once we got up slave barb made me some delicious Chai. We kicked off Christmas Eve by downloading and burning music on Cd's and iPODS. I had slave barb download Johnny Thunders and The Heartbreakers L.A.M.F. Cd from 1977 and I also had her download Killing Joke's Live 25 year anniversary concert. To me this is a great way to start off Christmas. Then I called my Aunt to secure the plans. The three of us are going to Staten Island to see her family. We do this every year. It will go like this. Everyone will say that myself and slave barb look weird. People will ask us what we are up to? This renders us pretty much helpless so all we do is talk about work. Then people will comment about why slave barb is serving me. Then slave barb will say something witty like she's trying to be a good Italian wife. They do buy into it, even with slave barb's slanted eyes. I guess I should fill them in a little on what really is going on in our life but it would only cause unrest for my ( elderly) Aunt so it really doesn't seem worth the hurt. Oh yes, people will comment on my beard and question why I shave my head when I can grow a full head of hair. Anyway, when I called my Aunt to check in on times and such, she seemed like she was in an odd and cranky mood. Oh my. What can I say? This is all out of my control. As the band UFO would say, “Let It Roll”. Slave barb thanked me for the warning and then we spoke about that Christmas for me / us is really about each other and leather friends and leather family. I have no brothers and sisters. I'm adopted ( all but one member of my adopted family has passed away. That would be three people that are no with us. One Aunt died when I was eight, The mother that had my official paper work died when I was 15, and Johnny my “Uncle died when I was 31. RIP guys) and when it comes to family I'm a black sheep, outsider who has trouble relating to the so called family. (Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate everything that was done for me) That's one part my fault and one part their fault. I'm more than willing to take on my share of the blame. Slave barb is not tight with her family. We have each other and our leather friends and leather family. Rockin', I'm happy! So with that said, lets bring on Christmas, I love it and I'm ready to rock it. Rock Steady!
For the most part Christmas Eve pretty much went as predicted. There was one bonus, My Aunts family picked on slave barb's hair color more than they picked on me. Yet others in the family complimented slave barb's balls for living her life on her sleeve and being proud of herself. It's almost seems like some of them get it.
