Another decent day at work. It's pretty slow for me right now. I'm all caught up with the book to physical audit and I'm just waiting for the bomb to drop. That bomb will officially drop at 1:30 in the afternoon on Friday. At that moment I will be very busy. I'm feeling much better from my slight cold so I was happy to be back at the gym. It was a very tough workout. I kind expected it. Due to Thanksgiving I didn't do the bi and tri workout last week, I'm coming off a slight cold, I have a finger that hurts from smashing in the door yesterday and a sprained finger on my other hand from an incident last week. On top of all that it's hard to focus on the workout when the next thing you are going to do is pick up your new car. Overall the workout sucked but I did it and that's all that counted.

After the gym I went home and took care of some automobile odds and ends. While I was getting my stuff together I felt sad. I really felt bad to let my SC2 go. That car is hot looking. Racing spoiler, rims and in 80,000 miles it never broke down or had a problem. The only parts that were replaced on that car were the brakes and the battery. Thank you Silver Bullet for all the years of great service. So I got dressed, grabbed slave barb and went to the dealer and I got my new car. Yeah, I'll admit it, I love it! The car rocks! Once we got home slave barb ordered some take out and then we settled in. Tonight we watch Survivor and ER.

After all the biz with the car there was some more sad news that came our way. Today myself and slave barb learned that on October 20th 2007 Paul Raven died from a Heart attack. He died in his sleep at the age 46. Paul Raven was in the band Killing Joke. Killing Joke were one of the most influential bands ever. Their sound influenced the sound of metal and industrial music in every fashion. Not too mention when they hit the scene in 1981 they set the music world on it's ears. So many bands pay tribute to Killing Joke. Everyone from U2 to Metallica.  Paul also played with two other pivitol bands in music history, Ministry and Prong. Along with those influential bands her played in many other national acts too. I never got to work with him but I will certainly say has was a fine bassist and guitarist, he also had a great musical mind. RIP Paul Raven!

Paul Raven gave me many hours of enjoyment with his music. He was a Giant among men. i am glad that i got to see him play and also glad that i got to take so many awesome photos of him back in the day.

One of the best concerts i ever saw was Killing Joke at Rutgers University, outside. Sun setting behind them, a dozen people carrying huge flaming torches to light the way for the band to approach the stage. So many people dancing that the ground was literally shaking.
Paul Raven, i know you're still making a thunderous noise for us to groove to!
