Tuesday – November 27 – 2007 – This has been a day of much happenings and lots of news. Some of the news good and some bad. So allow me to spill it. I woke up this morning with a bit of a cold. Nothing drastic and quite frankly I feel pretty damn good. I don't think this will amount to much at all and that's certainly a good thing. After I acknowledged my friend Mr. Minor Cold I got myself dressed and headed of to work. What did I see when once I walked out of the house? The Christmas garland that I argued with last night ( it fell down) came tumbling down sometime during the night. So at six in the morning I'm fighting with the garland. I got it back up and then headed of to work. The work day was pretty good. Actually it was very smooth. Don't tell anyone but I'm caught up and ahead of schedule. Now for some sadness. Twenty four year old Safety for the Washington Redskins died this morning. He was shot and killed in his own home by an intruder. He got up when he heard a noise, he walked to the bedroom door and then the door came crashing in on him and someone pumped some rounds into him and killed him. The NFL is in morning and I'm sure his family is too. A sad story. The NFL announced that every team this Sunday will honor him. Normally he would have been on the road with his team but he was injured so he was not traveling with the team at the time of murder. That sucked. In other sad news Kevin Dubrow of the band Quite Riot died today, cause unknown. Quite Riot had a few hit songs in the 80's. To tell you the truth I didn't like them in their day but the shows they were doing in the late 90's were great. All the members of Quite Riot were wonderful people and Kevin was always cool and friendly to me! He was also very appreciative of the work that me and my crew would do for him and the band. I worked with them about ten times over a three year period and we all spent many hours together. Kevin died at the age of 53. RIP Kevin and Sean. No for more happy news. Last night I got a flier in the mail that said Saturn is once again offering zero percent financing. I really didn't look at the flier but slave reminded me that I said I'm not looking for a car unless there's a hot deal which normally includes zero percent. My car is a little over five years old and has 81,000 miles on it so I am starting to put away for a car. So on a whim I called my friend at Saturn and asked him what the deal was and told him the price range I'm willing to have my monthly payments at. He called me back and much to my amazement he said they can put me in a quad three ION, new. The car comes loaded with side air bags, anti lock breaks, heated leather seats, 2.4 high performance engine, BMW style designed fog lights and ground effects package too. Did I mention leather heated seats? The car also comes with 16 inch alloy rims and a host of other things too. So I asked my friend what the payments are and the payments are LOWER than what I was paying on my last car! So after work I drove to the dealer and bought myself a new car. I signed all the paperwork today and I'll pick it up on Thursday. WOW! I'm still in shock. Any hot boys and girls wanna go for a ride? After signing all the arduous paperwork I headed home and found the door garland on the ground. I give up. I will figure out how to mount that over the weekend. To celebrate my purchase I had slave barb blow me. Rockin'. Now that I'm settled in I will be watching Reaper and Nip Tuck. Mr. Tivo will be doing his job and taping London and Miami Ink.
